An introduction to omakase traveling.
Omakase traveling means traveling without expectations. I try to apply the idea behind it to everything between how I pick my runs, how I pick my food, how I plan activities with my kids, how I explore cities and how I travel in general. These posts will give you a quick deep-dive into omakase traveling:
Within my business trips, I try to travel with an open mind. In how I choose my food, how I explore cities, how I use running to explore a city, how I look for places for a run and in where I get some work done. And even though, I work most of the time out of my suitcase, I keep looking for even more digital nomad opportunities.
I love hiking, embracing the stink and my tent, but there are few things that beat a good hotel. So, I try and apply omakase thinking to my hotel stays with IHG, Marriott and Hilton as well as in how I approach loyalty programs. Obviously, eating at a fancy restaurant is much better when you have the chef choose your food 🙂
