The Japanese habit of omakase (お任せ) comes is there when you’re ordering at a restaurant. It pretty much means, “I’ll leave it up to you”, inviting the chef to be innovative and surprising in the selection of dishes.
For me, it is a great example of how opening up your mind can give you great travel experiences. That is why I turned it into the name of my blog and why I translated omakase-thinking into other parts of how I travel. Here are some posts to illustrate this.
