If you’re unprepared, you’re not planning.
If you’re not planning, you don’t have expectations.
If you’re not having expectations, you will not be disappointed
If you’re not disappointed, it can only be positive.
If it can only be positive, it might actually maybe, possibly, potentially as well be the most amazing and memorable thing you have ever experienced.
You never know. But it could very well be.
It is the difference between New Years Eve and that random Tuesday that ended in a bar crawl in Tokyo. New Years Eve is overly planned and anticipated, with high expectations (also see another post on that) that are almost impossible to be materialised. And then there is that random night where you just went with the flow.
It is the aching annoying feeling many people experience when they did a city trip or trip in general. Yes, they have seen the highlights, checked all top-10 Tripadvisor tips, yes saw all the Instagrammable destinations … but did they really have a memorable experience? Did they experience something they will remember forever?
