Doings: Laser beam obstacle course

Having fun isn’t expensive or difficult. With an omakase mindset, you can turn every moment, away or at home (or even stuck at home in Corona times), into a memory worth sharing. This is one of my favorite imaginative things to do with kids, the laser beam obstacle course. Just take some tape, ideally washi tape or painter’s tape (anything that does not make the pain on the walls come off), and use it to create wall-to-wall barriers/obstacles. Usually, a hallway is a perfect space as it will allow you to make a sequence of different barriers but even a normal doorway or several doorways. Make at least five or six so kids will have to duck, crawl, or step over the tape.

Level up and have the kids create their own.

The confused bystander was the waiter in restaurant Bodo (Gent, Belgium), where Raymond, his co-founder Tim and me were having dinner. Here's my story on omakase, "Just give me something that tastes good".
